Channa salad


Channa salad recipe can be used as a diet meal for  Lunch / Dinner.

Quantity used below can serve : 2 people

Ingredients :

White channa - 1 handful
Carrot - 1 (medium sized) grated
Cucumber - 4 inch piece grated
Red cabbage - grated (quantity equal to a medium sized onion)
Bell pepper - 1/4 (grated)
Pitted olives - 4 (chopped)
Salt - as required
Pepper - 1 tsp
Lime juice - 1 tsp
Salad dressing (as per choice) - 1 tsp
Water - 200 ml

Method :

1. Immerse the White channa in water for 3 hours.
    Cook the channa by adding water in pressure cooker. Allow 6 whistles.



2.  Collect all the vegetables required - carrot,cucumber,red cabbage,bell pepper.


3. Grate all the vegetables.



4. Mix all the grated vegetables with the White channa in a bowl.
    Add chopped olives,salt,pepper,lime juice and salad dressing. ( I used Caesar salad dressing)
    
 


5. Mix well and serve.
