Mutton Soup


Quantity used below can serve : 2 people

Ingredients:

Oil - 1 tbsp

Curry leaves - few
Tomato - 1/2 medium (finely chopped)
Mutton - 150 gm 

Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp 

Salt - as required
Coriander Leaves - To Garnish

Water - 600 ml

To Grind :

Cumin  - 1/2 tsp
Peppercorns - 1 tsp

Onion - 1/2 medium 

Garlic - 2 big cloves


Method:

1. In a pressure cooker, add the mutton pieces, salt, turmeric powder and water. Cook for 10 whistles.





2. Once after the pressure gets released by itself, open the cooker and separate the mutton and
    stock. The mutton (flesh alone) can be used in the soup if preferred.

4. Now take cumin and peppercorns in a blender. Crush them. Later add onion and garlic to the

    same blender and crush to a coarse texture.


                              




5. Heat oil in a kadai. Add curry leaves and let it splutter. Then add tomato and saute once.

                                       


6. Add the grinded masala and let it cook on medium flame until raw smell disappears.

                                      

7. Pour the stock into the kadai.





8. Add chilli powder and salt. Mix well.



9. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.






Serve HoT !
