Poondu Puli Kuzhambu (Garlic Curry)


Poondu Puli Kuzhambu can be served for lunch along with Rice.

Quantity mentioned below can be used for : 2 people

Ingredients :

Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 medium (finely chopped)
Garlic - 10 pods (finely chopped)
Tamarind paste - 3 tbsp
Salt - as required
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Sambhar powder - 1/4 tsp
Brown sugar - 1 tsp
Water
Coriander leaves - to garnish

Method :


1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard and Wait for it to splutter.



2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the pan. Fry till they are well fried.



3. Add turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder, sambhar powder. Fry for a second.



5. Then add tamarind paste and required quantity of water. Mix well. Let it boil well.


6. Finally add brown sugar. And allow it to boil for a minute.



7. Add chopped coriander leaves to garnish. Serve HoT.
