Dhal Dosa


Quantity used below makes 6 medium sized dosa.

Ingredients :

Channa dhal - 100 gm
Shallots - 5
Coriander leaves - few
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece (chopped)
Carrot - 1 medium (grated)
Methi leaves - few
Rice flour - 3 tbsp
Salt - as required
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Water

Method : 

1. Soak channa dhal in water for 3 hours or 15 mins if soaked in hot water.
    Drain the water from dhal and Chop shallots, ginger and coriander leaves.




2. Add them to a blender.




3. Blend well.




4. Transfer the content to a bowl.




5. Grate the carrot and add it to the bowl.




6. Add methi leaves to the bowl.




7. Add salt, chilli powder and rice flour to the bowl.





8. Add required amount of water and mix well. The batter is now ready. (Batter should neither be   
     thick nor be thin)



9. Heat the tawa and add few drops of oil.



10. Pour a ladle of batter on the tawa and spread it over. Cover with a lid





11. Flip the dosa and cover with the lid. Serve hot with Tomato Bhajji (click for recipe) / any chutney
      of your choice.
