Eggless Vanilla Cake


Ingredients :

For cake :
Sunflower oil - 45 ml
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Sugar - 100 gms
Milk - 60 ml
Yogurt - 130 ml
Maida - 100 gms

For Topping:
Whipped Cream - 100 ml
Grated dark chocolate

For Sugar Water:
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Water - 20 ml


Method :

1. Use a round cake tin (8 inch), line it with aluminium foil and brush it with oil. Set aside.

                                         

2. In a bowl, add oil.





3. Add vanilla essence, baking powder and baking soda to the bowl.





4. Add sugar to it and mix well.






5. Add milk to the bowl.






6. Mix well using a whisk / spoon.




                                      
7. Add yogurt to the mixture. Mix well.

                 



8. Finally add maida to the mixture and keep mixing till everything gets combined.


                


9. Pour the mixture into the baking tin kept ready (point no 1)




10. Bake it in the oven at 150 degree Celsius for 45 minutes.
      Remove the tin from the oven and allow it to cool for 15 minutes.





11. Remove the foil and transfer the cake to a plate / cake turntable.
      Using a fork, make holes all over the cake. Drop sugar water on the holes for absorption.




12. Add some whipped cream <~ (click for recipe) on top of the cake and spread it evenly.






13. Cake is now covered with whipped fresh cream.



    

14. Decorate the cake as per your choice.
       Here, The cake is decorated in a simple way by grating dark chocolate.
