Rava Dosa


Rava dosa can be served for breakfast / dinner.

Quantity used below can make 6 dosas.

Ingredients :

Sooji - 50 gm
Rice flour - 50 gm
Maida - 25 gm
Salt - as required
Water - 250 ml
Coriander leaves - few 

To temper :

Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Peppercorns - 8 nos
Curry leaves - few
Onion - 1 (medium sized) chopped
Green chilli - 1 chopped finely
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece chopped finely


Method :

1. Add sooji, rice flour, maida, salt, water to a bowl and mix well without any lumps.
    The batter should be very thin.
              
                    

2. Get ready with all the ingredients to fry. (Spices and chopped ingredients)



3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard, cumin, peppercorns, curry leaves. Wait for it to splutter.

               


4. Add onion, green chilli, ginger to the kadai and fry well.




5. Add the fried ingredients to the bowl of batter.



6. Finally add coriander leaves and mix well. 




7. Heat the dosa pan, add few drops of oil.



8.  Pour the batter in a way it spreads over the pan. (Pour Just one ladle of batter for one dosa )




9. Cover with a lid and allow the dosa to cook. Flip the dosa and allow it to cook on the other side.
